Frequently Asked Questions

HAI Global (HAI) produces experiential, personal growth workshop offered online and in-person. Our mission is to bring more love and acceptance into the world. We do this by offering workshops that encourage our participants to explore self-esteem, body image, boundaries, moving out of your head and into your heart, speaking your truth, and, more importantly, knowing what your truth is. The workshops are also focused on learning valuable, practical communication skills. All workshops are conducted in a welcoming and loving environment. We specialize in delivering workshops that encompass all relationships with an emphasis on empowering people to make the best choices for themselves every minute of every day, and to live their lives in love.

Q: How do I know if the HAI workshops are for me?

A: Our workshops are open to all individuals who want to improve their relationship with themselves and others. This includes singles, those in long-term relationships, open, or complex relationships, and people of every gender identification and sexual orientation who are over the age of 18. HAI participants range in age from 18 to their 90s, but in general, we tend to have large numbers of participants in their 30s, through 60s. During our workshops we explore personal growth, intimacy, love and sexuality.

Q: Who are the facilitators for my workshop?

A: There is a group of facilitators who lead all of the workshops worldwide. To find out who is leading a specific workshop, please check the listings under Register. All of the facilitators are equally wonderful. They each bring their own unique gifts that ensure each workshop is a rewarding, rich experience in self discovery, self love and more.

Q: How will my relationship with others be improved?

A: HAI creates workshops that enhance communication in all areas of your life. This includes your relationship with yourself so you know what you really want in life. You’ll find a new respect for all genders regardless of sexual orientation. You’ll be exposed to tools that help you heal past hurtful relationships and you’ll learn to trust yourself and others more fully. This will help you find love, starting with self love, and keep the love you find.

Q: I have heard the workshops are clothing optional? Is this true?

A: HAI’s online workshops are not clothing optional. For our in-person workshop there is an opportunity to participate in an optional safe and loving disrobing exercise. This is not a requirement. This exercise is offered on Saturday during the Connecting in Love (Level 1) weekend workshop. The gentle disrobing exercise is led by the facilitators. From that point on, the workshop continues to be clothing optional – the key word being “optional.” Everyone in our in-person workshop is always at choice, and there is no right or wrong way to do this exercise. You get to decide what feels right for you. The Disrobing Exercise is designed to allow us to experience feeling better about the skin we live in, and see one another’s humanity in a profound way. For more information see our Naked page.

Q: Are the workshops about sexual technique?

A: Sexual technique is not taught, but communication is, which can lead to greater sexual enjoyment. The workshops are much more about how to be intimate and loving than about teaching sexual techniques. By considering your notions about love, intimacy, and sexuality, you may see how those thoughts may get in the way of what you really want in some of your relationships.

Q: What about my boundaries? Will my boundaries be respected?

A: Your boundaries will be fully respected and honored. We’ll help you fully embrace your own sense of “yes” or “no” and be clear in all of your relationships so you can ask for what you want, or say what you don’t want, without shame or guilt.

Q: How will the workshops benefit me?

A: You can expect to experience personal transformations in a caring, supportive and safe environment. Our workshops help you discover key ingredients for happy, healthy loving intimate relationships. Our workshops allow you to shed your fears, judgments and disempowering beliefs that make you feel separate from others. This increases self esteem, enhances your passion for living and allows you to open your heart. You’ll examine your relationship with yourself and others including beliefs about intimacy, sexuality and more. We encourage you to review our “workshops” section of the website for full details.

Q: What is the format of the workshops?

A: The workshops are more experiential than instructional in a traditional sense. There is a series of guided exercises which are designed to allow you to experience and identify for yourself which of your behaviors help or hinder you in having more love in your life. This kind of experience is more direct than simply listening to a lecture. As you focus on elements of how you are with people in your life, there is an opportunity to expand your awareness and take new actions. The focus is much more on who you are rather than what you do. Each of our workshops is led by two facilitators.

Q: Can I attend any workshop?

A: Most of our workshops are open to the general public, assuming you have completed prerequisites, if applicable. We do have workshops that are only open to a specific population, such as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color), in order to create a safe space for minority populations. If you identify with the specific population of a workshop, you are welcome to attend. HAI also offers different workshops that encourage the attendance of advocates, allies and supporters of minority populations.

Q: Can I attend a workshop with a partner?

A: HAI welcomes you to attend any workshop with a partner(s). Attending with a partner can help to increase connection and deepen the relationship with that partner. For online workshops, we encourage partners to participate in the workshop with their own computer, headset and private space. This allows for both people in the partnership to have privacy and focus when participating in large group shares and smaller break-out discussion groups.

Q: What if I cannot afford to participate? Is there financial support available?

A: Yes, the HAI offers scholarships for those in need of financial assistance. Please contact our office for more information.

Q: What is your ADA Policy?

A: HAI is strongly committed to inclusion, and creating a world of love and acceptance. Please see our ADA Policy for details.

Q: Do I need to be vaccinated to attend?

A: HAI is strongly committed providing a safe workshop environment. Currently, you do not need to be vaccinated to attend.  Please see our COVID-19 Workshop Attendance Policy for details.

Q: How does the Wait List work?

A: If you are placed on a waitlist for an online or in-person workshop, your deposit secures your spot on the waitlist. If you don’t get into the workshop of your choice, your deposit is fully refundable/transferable with no penalties.

Q: What if I want to cancel or transfer out of my workshop?

A: Please see our cancellation and transfer policy.
